ASYNC 2004 Tutorial Information

The ASYNC 2004 tutorial document discusses both the coarse-grain and fine-grain PL flows. The coarse-grain examples use several variations of a double-precision floating point clipping operation mapped to both UMC18u and Artisan/IBM13u standard cell libraries. A pipelined CPU mapped using the coarse grain flow is also examined. The fine-grain discussion maps two of the double precision floating point examples to fine-grain PL netlists.

The tutorial presentation will hit the highlights of the above topics, and let attendees exercise the coarse-grain and fine-grain flows for examples that interest them. I will try to avoid the dreaded "death by powerpoint" syndrome in presenting the material, and will instead concentrate on attendee exploration of the tool flows.
